I cant send it by email share it on Facebook or anything other than see one page of a document Very poor app    Awful
A few documents were presented nicely but when I clicked on a video link it switched to Safari and presented me with a warning that the Flash player must be installed For an iOS app execution needs to be thorough from the initial mention of an event to the ending document in Safari    Nice but flawed execution
I am enjoying these fun snapshots of history on my iPhone Thank you National Archives                Great way to learn history
Its ok It would be great to be able to not only share photos but save them as well Why is that not an option          Meh
I check this everyday The documents are interesting and showcases the important work the national archives does preserving pieces of history for study and heritage The app is not really for reference but rather to have that feeling of wonder that any person who has done historical research knows when absorbing a new document or source Well done app and a must for any person with a love for history                Love for history Use this app
Great promise Terrible execution Has not been updated since inception and therefore does not work with iOS eight Very sad just like our government now    Works like the Government
Im surprised to see such a gorgeous app from a government agency Its a pleasure to use and the selection of documents is very good But some pages seem to be missing from some of the documents Please make sure all of the documents are complete                Great App
It is great to see these documents on the iPad and the explanatory text helps when the handwriting on some of the old documents is hard to read                So cool
Why only one page of a document It would be helpful to have faster access to the whole doc whatever it might be Still fun app if not completely useful          Todays Document Single Page
Wonderful selection of documents in a really nice interface                Super
This is a pretty interesting app I just went through and found the doc that is on the app preview screenshots a hand delivered letter from Elvis to Nixon asking to become a federal agent for the war on drugs HilariousPretty neat and easy way to find out what important events happen on a particular day                Cool Documents
I love this app I teach American History and I used this app on my iPad in one of my classroom lectures The kids thought it was really cool                Super
This is an awesome way to open the National Archives to the tablettoting public Great selection of documents very engrossing Applause to NARA A few bugs1 Selecting the info box multiple times opens multiple info boxes It is not initially clear that the way to close the info box is to tap another part of the screen 2 Zooming into the document is very difficult pinchingspreading changes the whole page not just the pane with the doc and I cant pan around the zoom easily 3 This isnt a bug but I was surprised that swiping right took me to future docs of the day Swipe left to go to the past 4 Needs transcription             Very cool kind of buggy
Worked great the first 2 times I opened but havent been able to open for days Crashes every time Bummer because its a super interesting app    Buggy
I would have given it 5 stars if it allows access to all pages of a document please please add this option to your app             Great daily snapshot of US history
Im all for displaying the records in any and all forms Having this historical touchstone on my iPhone is really amazing Theres so much to see and learn about just amazing                Protect the Recordsand Display
History at your fingertips wherever you go                Fun and Interesting
Hasnt been updated in years Social media sharing is completely broken       Seems abandoned
Although the quality of the content is excellent the app itself is a tad cumbersome and not quite as one would prefer Certainly not a deal breaker but well worth decreasing its margins of error The presentation needs polish             Excellent Content
Please Update to iOS8 or even iOS7 the information is superlative nevertheless app crashes under iOS8       Update
This is a great app Ive been checking out the document of the day each morning while eating breakfast American history is full of fantastic and important events                Fun and Fascinating
This app displays hundreds of fascinating documents photographs and other materials from our nations history But thats about all it does The documents are merely images Beyond the briefest of summaries to learn anything more about the item you have to go to an external website Thats a major limitation in my opinion I would like to see the app provide far more content internally so you dont need an internet connection and you can read offline It of course doesnt have to provide all the information that resides on the website But please give us more than just a teaser At a bare minimum provide a text transcription of the documents Without having that available internally I find the usefulness of the app to be severely limited       Could Be So Much More
A little lacking though but its free                Good
    Uptake to iPhone 5       Update
Really fun and interesting You can search through documents and every days docs brings something cool But please update for newer iOS phones D             Nice
I LOVE the history But the app is so buggy I cannot reliable access enormously interesting content Disappointed    I had high hopes
Very Cool App Amazing what technology can do                Very Cool
A pretty good idea and the only of its kind             Decent
The idea is great but it crashes every time I was really excited about this app but it has been somewhat of a disappointment so far because of that       Bummer
Great start in making our national treasures available for all             Todays document iPad App

Wowthis is totally cool I would never get to see some of these thingsdidnt even know they existed before this app Love it                Todays Document
    Amazing Document                Amazing
Everyone knows about the big documents at the National Archives the Declaration of Independence the Constitution etc but this app opens up a whole new world of intriguing documents that explore significant bizzare and sometimes downright funny corners of American history If you ever wanted to figure out whether John Dillinger was arrested on your birthday or something equally intriguing then I definitely recommend this app                A Must for History Buffs
I love browsing these documents and the apps interface is really nice                Great App
